Base Bridge

The Base Bridge is the canonical route between Ethereum and Base, operated as part of the chain itself rather than by a third party. Deposits arrive in minutes. Withdrawals back to Ethereum take seven days, because Base is an optimistic rollup and that window exists for fraud proofs to be submitted. It charges no protocol fee, so the only cost is Ethereum gas, and it inherits Base's security rather than adding a separate set of assumptions. Third-party bridges are faster in the outbound direction and charge for taking that wait on themselves.
