About Basenames
Basenames are Base's naming system, mapping a readable name to an address so people can receive funds at something other than a 42-character string. Names are registered onchain and resolve across applications that support them. It is the same idea as ENS on Ethereum, built for Base and integrated into Coinbase's own products, which is why adoption arrived faster here than naming systems usually manage.
