Anzen issues USDz, a dollar token backed by real world assets held through institutional arrangements rather than by crypto collateral or an algorithm.

That puts the backing offchain, where you cannot inspect it directly and are relying on attestations and the entities producing them. It is a different risk from an overcollateralised onchain stablecoin, not obviously a smaller one. Anzen runs on five chains.
