Virtuals Protocol is a platform for launching and co-owning AI agents, where an agent has a token and holders share in what it does. It was among the largest drivers of activity on Base during the AI agent cycle of late 2024 and early 2025, and a substantial share of the agent tokens on Base were launched through it. DefiLlama reports no TVL for it, which is expected: the protocol's significance is in tokens launched and traded rather than in capital locked.
