About PancakeSwap
PancakeSwap is BNB Chain's largest DEX and Base is a secondary deployment for it. The mechanics are familiar: pooled automated market making, with V3 adding concentrated liquidity so providers can focus capital in a price range.
DefiLlama tracks V3, the original AMM and Infinity separately, and all three appear in the Base rankings. Despite the modest TVL here it is consistently among the top venues by Base trading volume, which is a reminder that liquidity and turnover are different measures and a pool can be busy without being deep.
